This is the poem that was featured in the episode of Doctor Who, where we learn that River Song is actually Melody Pond, daughter of Amy Pond and Rory Williams!
Demons Run When A Good Man Goes To War
Demons run when a good man goes to war.
Night will fall and drown the sun,
When a good man goes to war.
Friendship dies and true love dies
Night will fall and the dark will rise.
When a good man goes to war.
Demons run but count the cost,
The battle is won, but the child is lost
When a good man goes to war.

Hello one and all.
Isn't it just positively joyful to have lighter evenings and glorious weather creeping in. Certainly makes you feel great to be alive and seems to put everyone in the mood for love! I love the Spring! Not only that, but the wedding season is now officially in full flow; not least with the wedding of HRH Prince William of Wales to Catherine Middleton imminently upon us. Wedding poems are some of my very favourite poetry commissions. To have words that I have written, involved in someone's big day, is a great honour. These words form part of the cherished memories that will last an entire lifetime. And I don't know how you feel when you are at weddings, but I find myself incredibly emotional and listening intently to everything that is said. The right wedding poem has the power to make your guests sob and smile in equal measure. And once over it would have been a case of asking your friends what readings they had, or making a selection from options given to you by your celebrant or registrar, but now you can buy your own custom wedding poem, based entirely on your relationship and your feelings. So whether you are a Bride or Groom wanting to enhance your wedding day with a custom wedding poem, or a guest looking for a special and unique gift, then visit iwantapoem.co.uk and order your poem today! With it fast approaching Valentine's day, now is the time to be thinking about the perfect gift for your loved one. Perhaps you like the idea of a poem for him or her, but just can't find one that suits you and says all you want to say.
Your next step, might be to have a go at writing one yourself - but if you would rather not write it yourself, then you have come to the right place. Here at iwantapoem.co.uk, I can take your feelings, words and emotions and turn them into a literal work of art. You may have an idea of how you wish to present your poem, and in this case, I can provide just the poem by email. Alternatively, you may wish to consider purchasing your personalised printed as a bespoke work of art. I can do whatever works best for you! So don't be shy, and tell your Valentine exactly what they mean to you - you can even include a clue to who you are, if you are being traditional and sending your Valentine anonymously! So whatever your Valentine's poetry needs, contact Amy at iwantapoem.co.uk to get the ball rolling! Last order date for framed and printed poetry for Valentine's day is the 27th of January; this is to allow plenty of time for the poetry and printing process. For a personalised poem by email only, last order date for receipt by Valentine's day is the 11th of February Tuesday, January 18

Happy New Year one and all. 2010 was an amazing year for me, both personally and professionally and I have no doubt whatsoever, that that was just laying the foundations for an astounding 2011. Here's to a brilliant year for us all!
I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported me and iwantapoem.co.uk over the last three years, as without you, I wouldn't be in the position I am today, doing something I love so much. So thank you sincerely, from the bottom of my heart. Christmas saw a great variety of personalised poetry requests coming in, but I would have to say my very favourite, was for a young lady who wanted to express her love for her partner after he proposed on Christmas day itself! Being trusted with such personal feelings and emotions is a huge privilege and one which I will never take for granted, but will be forever grateful to have had the opportunity to enhace! So if you want a poem, then please do not hesitate to submit your order today; I will look forward to working with you! http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk Saturday, December 11

Well, I have been lucky enough to work with some celebrity clients, for poetic business and pleasure purposes which has been brilliant. Not to mention, the unique poetry commissions I have received from my regular clientele. So back to iwantapoem.co.uk, some of my recent personalised poetry commissions include poems for weddings, a great baby shower, funerals, anniversaries, birthdays, new babies, a secret crush, an apology and a poem for a charitable foundation. Funny Birthday Poem
I am often asked to write birthday poems and a large proportion of these requests ask for a funny birthday poem(as opposed to a more serious loving/slushy theme.) These poems can be really fun to work on. It is nice to include humourous moments and in-jokes as I think they make each poem that little bit more personal. It is also a great way to grab attention and make the poem something that will be remembered and talked about for a long time. They can be commission be anyoned; so that includes family members, partners, friends, employers and employees. To order your bespoke funny birthday poem, vistit iwantapoem.co.uk. X Factor Begins 21st August 2010
Thousands apply, Each with a dream; To be crowned X Factor winner On our TV screens. The 2010 season Has officially come As Disco Inferno Fills the auditorium. First act goes through; Could this be his time? He was soon overshadowed By Walking On Sunshine. The usual suspects Come along for their auditions Some trying to make it their own With unusual renditions. Some came as duos But ended up singing alone And thanks to friendly support Didn't end up going home. I must say I preferred the auditions When done in a room Alone with the judges And without auto tune. But with ad breaks galore And sparkling white smiles; The X Factor does it for us all With it's reality-ish televisual style. Relied on each Saturday To help us get merry Judged in Glasgow by Louis and Simon Along with Cheryl and Geri. A brand new baby, Ethan, Has kept us from Miss Minogue But it will be great to see her back A little further down this road. There's tears and there is happiness And tons of crowd support. I think that this new season May be even better than I thought. It looks set to be excellent For entertainment each week. Thanks for coming back X Factor; We're in for a real treat!
