X Factor Begins 21st August 2010
Thousands apply, Each with a dream; To be crowned X Factor winner On our TV screens. The 2010 season Has officially come As Disco Inferno Fills the auditorium. First act goes through; Could this be his time? He was soon overshadowed By Walking On Sunshine. The usual suspects Come along for their auditions Some trying to make it their own With unusual renditions. Some came as duos But ended up singing alone And thanks to friendly support Didn't end up going home. I must say I preferred the auditions When done in a room Alone with the judges And without auto tune. But with ad breaks galore And sparkling white smiles; The X Factor does it for us all With it's reality-ish televisual style. Relied on each Saturday To help us get merry Judged in Glasgow by Louis and Simon Along with Cheryl and Geri. A brand new baby, Ethan, Has kept us from Miss Minogue But it will be great to see her back A little further down this road. There's tears and there is happiness And tons of crowd support. I think that this new season May be even better than I thought. It looks set to be excellent For entertainment each week. Thanks for coming back X Factor; We're in for a real treat! X Factor Week 8 Live Show Poem Elton John/Take That WeekIt's the 28th of November and I started to watch the X Factor late As I'd been out doing my shopping, instead sitting at home for week 8. Luckily, it is the week, that the show goes on and on; I tuned in just as all five contestants has finished singing their first songs. The details of the contestants song choices can now be found below And so, without any further ado, let's get back to the show. Lloyd was the first to sing his second piece; "I'm still standing" by Elton John Followed swiftly by Danyl's rendition of the classic anthem, "Your Song". At this point I should mention, and I have tried to resist, We're lacking a little something; John and Edward are sadly missed! I never thought I'd say that, but the time has actually come; Own up, who elses agrees that the X Factor is lacking a little fun? Anyway, the ad breaks are over, and back to the stage for our delight Is the cheeky little Olly Murs with "Saturday Night's Alright". Simon was very complimentary and the audience were chanting his name. He really did come out fighting and he'll definitely survive to sing again! Next Joe McElderry performed for us, a song that we have already heard. He sang it at Cheryl's judges' home; Elton's "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word". Louis said that he was born for this and in a rare moment all the judges came together; They all agreed it was sensational and Simon said that it was his best song EVER! The pride of Dagenham got to close the show with the stage lights burning bright, She started sat on a Baby Grand, singing "Something About The Way You Look Tonight." Simon was worried that all her songs sound the same and I wasn't overly impressed So, we'll see if she makes it through tonight, as she is the only girl left. But I love it when Dermot interviews her, as she sounds so dippy and sweet And with that, the phone lines open for us to vote for our favourite this week. Please feel free to comment, perhaps with who you think will have to go And for now I'll say adieu to you, and see you again on Sunday for the results show. Sunday Night means a new X Factor Results show
With performances from Mariah and the world class SuBo. I really can't call who'll be going tonight But perhaps at last the public might get it right. Who will now fade into oblivion and who will we remember As we find out the X Factor Results on the 22nd of November. Stacey is the first act to go through to next week Followed by Joe, our tasty North-Eastern treat. The third act returning, is Danyl the Diva Followed by Lloyd! So will Olly or Jedward be the leaver? Could this be the moment that the X Factor is waiting for? Is it time for the Grimes Twins to head out of the door? John and Edward took the first "singing for survival" spot And perhaps aptly sang lyrics saying "I can't be what I'm not". They looked rather dejected; Perhaps they sense it's their time. But who's to say other peoples opinions mirror those of mine. Olly took to the stage, with a beautiful sounding track Before, over to the judges, we are swiftly handed back. Simon and Cheryl voted to saved Olly Louis voted Jedward, and he wasn't sorry. Danni asked the audience before she made her choice She asked if it was a singing competition, to be judged on voice. At last John and Edward are out of the show And onto the talent competition the last 5 acts can go! It's been a blast for them, and I'm sure a career begins As a televisual presence beckons for the country's most well known Twins. So our thoughts should be with Jedward as the two of them commiserate And with Louis out of the X Factor, it's onwards to week 8! Another Sunday Evening, who will sing for the right to survive;
The one remaining girl or group, or one of Simon's over 25's? Perhaps one of the boys from Cheryl Cole's team? For one of the acts, here end the X Factor Dream. All of the contestants showed us how good as a group they can be Giving us a great rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Then a performance from Shakira and the X Factor Charity Song too And finally we get to find out, who'd in the bottom two. Delicious Dermot then announces the acts who go through; Joe McElderry followed by Danyl, and then Stacey!(oh phew) The fourth act to be chosen was Olly and he had much glee And the final act returning are the Twins and Louis. That leaves Lloyd and Jamie to sing for the crowd. They both want to go through, but only one is allowed. At this point, I can't call who will be leaving the X Factor tonight; I won't even bother guessing, as I never get it right! So the act that managed, the chop, to avoid Rather surprisingly was lovely little Lloyd. So on towards next weeks X Factor Live Show And sadly we say goodbye to Jamie the Afro. X Factor Live Shows WEEK 6 - Phone Numbers At The Bottom Of This Page
The next stop on this journey towards the X Factor Dream Is a fab Saturday Night programme, dedicated to Queen. Just seven acts remaining and there's everything to win And so, without any further ado, let the show begin! Before we get down to the talent, we have something of shock As Simon Cowell delicately explains, why last week he went to deadlock. He said that he trusted the public and he knew we would make the right call Ultimately, he talked his way out of it and ultimately, he can't please us all. First on the stage is Jamie Archer, with Radio GaGa as his song; A fabulous Queen rock anthem, but Louis said that it was all wrong. Cheryl commented on his Afro but said he kicked the show off well; Will he sail through again this week? Only time will tell. Next a Little Thing Called Love, or should that be a boy called Lloyd His cuteness and his cheeky charm are things you can't avoid. The audience were screaming and he seemed to have a blast; Lloyd Daniels from Team Cheryl has come into his own at last. Olly Murs then told us all not to stop him now. He is the best performer and that really was a WOW! He was likened to Robbie Williams after he well executed his plans Even managing to entertain us all with a bit of a dodgy hand! Back to Team Cheryl as we get on with the show Somebody To Love is performed for us, by the lovely little Joe. Cheryl said of his vocal rollercoaster, that he sang it to a T; Simon said he'd be safe this week and I think that I'd agree. After the deadlock last week, this act caused a lot rage They showed they were Under Pressure as Jedward fell onto stage. It was fairly entertaining, I think you will agree....well maybe But only because they mixed it up with a hint of Ice Ice Baby! Stacey Solomon then performed, singing Who Wants To Live Forever; Far removed from her ditzy self, she really held it together. Each note that emerged from inside her was crisp and clear and bright And Simon Cowell even said it was the best performance of the night. We Are The Champions is the last song of the show With the fabulous Danyl Johnson getting into the Queen Week flow. Danni Minogue said that this had been his best performance yet And even Louis and Simon gave him the nicest feedback he could get. So which acts should stay and which acts should now end Get on the phones, as on your votes, the results depends. Who do you want to see return to the X Factor Stage? The phone numbers needed for voting are at the bottom of this page. Copyright © Amy - I Want A Poem http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk Personalised Poems for All Occasions! It's Sunday Night, the votes have been cast;
Who's performance could have been their last? None of the finalists want to be in the bottom two And they relied totally on votes from me and you. Katy Perry was the inspiration for the opening group song And everyone looked at home on the stage, just like they belong. So on the night we get a performance from our own home grown star Which act will have made it so near, yet so far? First up this Sunday, was an act that was pleasing to me Preceding Leona Lewis, was the fabulous B.E.P. Flying high on wires, yet performing with such ease Well done to Will I.am and his crew of Black Eyed Peas. So onto Leona Lewis, a true star without a doubt And it's great to have her back on the stage where she started out. She is an inspiration and shows us what real talent means; Her new song is titled 'Happy' and it personifies so many dreams. Now for the moment that we have all been waiting for. Who's X Factor journey, will carry on no more? The acts acts going through will be glad to have been saved And the first of those way Joe; To him and Cheryl, well played! The second act returning is Olly for our Mr Smooth, Simon Followed very closely by the delightful Stacey Solomon. Lloyd also went through, much to Cheryl's delight And the 5th act through was Danyl, truly making his night. Only one more spot was guaranteed and that then went to Jamie. That means Jedward's in the bottom two, do my eyes betray me? It was the one week I relented and they finally entertained. So will it be them or Lucie, who, in the contest, remain? The glamourous Danni Minogue hoped that Lucie would shine As she returned to the X Factor stage to give us her 'moment in time'. Louis said Jedward should try and have fun as they gave us Rock DJ; I wonder if Robbie Williams was singing along or cringing in LA? Louis,Dannii and Cheryl made their choice then the real voting could begin But Simon said he's let the public decide as neither of the acts could win. Sadly Lucie lost out, and John and Edward will sing again; I can't believe this is happening. Each week it seems to be the same. So congrats to the twins, though in my throat it sticks And so I'll look forward instead to week 6. It's a bit of a shocker, though I said weeks ago That the twins could end up winning! You just never know! Copyright © Amy - I Want A Poem http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk Personalised Poems for All Occasions! Saturday, November 7

Tonight's X Factor promises to be a little groovy
As all of the contestants sing songs from the Movies. It's a live show from London, for your pleasure and delight; Let's get ready to watch The X Factor Movie Night! Stacey Solomon was the first to step into the breach And in skintight black leggings she showed us how to preach. The Son of A Preacher Man went down like a treat Though Mr Simon Cowell said she might not be safe this week. He can afford to be smug as none of his acts have gone out! Olly Murs is his first act this week, singing Twist and Shout. The audience loved it and were screaming his name So I definitely think, he will survive to sing again! Next, following a week where he ended up in the bottom two Lloyd Daniels performed 'Stand by Me' hoping that he would get through. But Louis Walsh said that he was out of his depth And Simon agreed. Has he got any hope left? Next up Jamie Archer, but his song was little obscure It was Crying by Roy Orbison, but from which movie, I'm not sure. Simon defended his song choice and Cheryl said he had done well; Was it enough to see him through? Only time will tell. Lucie Jones was next to perform and what treat to see She took a track from Camp Rock and showed us "This is Me". Cheryl Cole then commented that Lucie had found her niche at last! Simon said she was a relevant act! Her dreams have been surpassed! Simon chose the next track and Danyl took the stage again To gave us a beautiful performance of Prince's Purple Rain. Great comments from all the judges after a vocal that was divine And I think that is was so good that he's surely safe this time. Next up John and Edward and this week they've had twin mania And in the words of Peter Andre, it is just a little bit insania! So back to the performance, and they gave us the Ghostbusters theme. I think I must be softening as it was the funniest thing I have seen! It's sad another week is almost over, and here to close the show Was a great performance of The Circle of Light by the cheeky Geordie Joe. The audience were rapturous and Dannii said he was simply the best. I think that this handsome young man, could be headed for success. So from our fabulous final 8, one act will have to go And so, miss out performing on the X Factor Week 6 Show. The numbers you need to vote are listed at the end of my rhyme Thanks so much for reading and I hope to "see" you next time! Another week over, and now for our delight
The X Factor contestants perform for Week 4's Rock night. Joe has the voice of an angel, but that did not stop him And he was the first of the acts to set our stage a'rocking. Lucie Jones was next up with a Guns 'n' Roses hit And I felt she was amazing, personifying a real Rock Chick. Danyl seemed to have lost his sparkle, and struggled to keep in tune; Perhaps he feels a little dejected after having been in the bottom two. Next up the teenage heart-throb, part of Cheryl Cole's boy team. Lloyd sang Katy Perry to satisfy millions of teenage girls dreams. The next act who would be attempting to pull off more rock 'n' roll hits Was the lovely Stacey Solomon, our very own Dagenham Ditz. Just like Lloyd before her, it wasn't really rock But she still got a massive round of applause, which isn't much of a shock. Simon seemed exceptionally pleased that she had managed to sing and walk But above all else we love Stacey, because she's hilarious when she talks. This week for made for Jamie, I think you must agree As he'd rocked his socks off Honey, in the style of Primal Scream. The judges began to bicker, but at the end of the day It's our votes that are important so it doesn't matter what they say. Rachel Adedeiji was the next to sing and chose One by U2 And I am certain with that performance, this week she'll escape the bottom two. That can only mean one thing with one group act left to go! It's time to bring out the terrible twins for the John and Edward Show. They said that they would rock us, trying to give us Queen And they are certainly the scariest act which is apt for Halloween. So almost at the conclusion, with just one more act to go And cheeky little Olly Murs is coming up to close the show. He pulled everything together so "Come together" proved to be a great choice And I enjoyed him ripping his shirt open almost as much as the sound of his voice. So now we have to wait twenty four hours to find out who will go And the phone numbers you need for voting, can now be found below. So, glad to have Louis back after his personal grief and strife
And I'm sure he welcomed the performance from his Irish pals, Westlife. Another judge was celebrating as she had achieved her goal; Fight For This Love is a well deserved Number One for the lovely Cheryl Cole. This weeks celebrity mentor is an international star in every way And we were treated to Cry Me A River by the fabulous Michael Buble. A brief intermission followed for more advertorial breaks; Who'll be in the bottom two? I hope it's Jedward for all of our sakes. 8 Acts will definitely go through to next weeks show; And Stacey Solomon was the first that Dermot let know Then Olly and Rachel followed by Joe and Lucie Jones And I think that John and Edward are using magic on the phones. How did they get through again? It's fast becoming a joke This show is all about talent, although what they have is bespoke. I'm not sure who'd buy their singles as they don't seem to be able to sing But if it carries on like this, I have a bad feeling they might win. Jamie Archer was the seventh and there there were just three; Lloyd, Miss Frank and Danyl, who would the last saved one be? Lloyd smiled his way to victory (he had his backflip to thank) So in the bottom two, that left Danyl and Miss Frank. The ladies sang again first, trying their best to sound strong Before Danyl reignited the audience with his first audition song. For one of these two acts, the X Factor journey was about to End And Danyl made it through deadlock with a little help from his friends! It's so long to the band that first auditioned individually alone And now on week three, Miss Frank are on their way home. This has been a fabulous experience for the three of them to bank; So my most sincere commiserations go the marvellous Miss Frank. It's
All of the acts will be performing with a fabulous big band. They're singing for survival, hoping for votes from you and me So turn onto ITV1 and get ready for the Welcome back to Louis, great to have you back again As without your cheeky Irish charm, the show is not the same. Simon's team kicked off the show, with Olly singing Bewitched; A wonderful performance which he pulled off without a hitch! Lloyd flew us to the moon, which wouldn't have been Simon's choice But the audience seemed to like it and I thought it suited his voice. The judges gave their opinions, and seemed to be somewhat split After Lloyd showed us his fun side by doing a wonderful back flip! Next came Miss Frank, looking rather foxy in black Adding a nice hint of rap to their Frank Sinatra track. I wish I'd been the audience, as musically, this evening, it sounds sweet And Miss Frank with That's Life, is so far my favourite performance this week. Pyrotechnics galore as Rachel took the Mic And at last she pulled off a performance that all the judges liked. Rachel rushed to hug her mentor and declared it her best day ever; What a transformation! She has really got it together! After a last minute decision, Jamie had only had 24 hours To get a grip of his song choice and demonstrate his vocal powers. It seemed to be slightly lack lustre and a bit of his sparkle has gone But the true highlight for me was the Louis Impression by Simon. Next being described at Cinderella , it was Stacey who stole the show For me, I think Big Band Week, has given her a magical glow. Looking absolutely sensational and reaching some beautiful notes This week, I think Stacey Solomon, will be getting a lot of votes. The instrumental was amazing as Danyl was feeling good And he absolutely smashed it, just as we knew he could. Another amazing performance and the judges showered him with praise. Simon was smiling knowingly; He knew the bar had officially been raised. The next act truly showed us how a Big Band Act should go. His smooth voice wowed the audience and I was very impressed with Joe. Sway, we certainly did as he wonderfully executed his choice. This likely lad from the North East really has an amazing voice! Lucie Jones came next and Cheryl, Louis and Danni toasted her success Yet Simon Cowell made a comment about her singing it like an actress. I think her voice is lovely and she'll have won a vote or two; Just one more act to go, then the voting lines will open for you. They saved the two horrors for last. Isn't it time that they were gone? A dubious performance ensued from the terrible twins Edward and John. I'm not sure Ricky Martin actually classes as a Big Band Act But these two are skating on thin ice and that is a true X Factor fact! So another week is over, and now to the public the choice goes The numbers you need for voting, can now be found below. So go on then, grab your telephone. What are you waiting for? I've been looking forward to Cheryl's performance all week
And she didn't let us down! I was impressed with her break beat. Her dancing was amazing and she really looked at home And though we know her best from Girl's Aloud, she still does well alone. What a start to the live results show - it was as good as can be And we still have to look forward to the performance from Whitney! With the next break over and the phone lines closed Dermot will announce the result! The public's feeling exposed! Whitney looked sensational in a long length silver dress; She suffered a wardrobe malfunction and perhaps has passed her best. More ads on their way and at last the announcement of the results can begin! Who'll be in the bottom two? I am hoping it will be the Twins. The first act to get through was Olly followed by Miss Frank Then came lovely Joe and they all had their performances to thank. Danyl also went through as his performance was supreme Then Lucie also got chosen to continue her X Factor dream. Jamie Afro Archer was the sixth person to go through Then Stacey took her place, and that's all thanks to me and you. Lloyd was certain to go through and then the Twins went too, to my shock So it was left Rikki and Rachel to face this weeks deadlock. Rachel sung "With or Without You" and she has already been here before; Then Rikki sung "Flying Without Wings" which I enjoyed a whole lot more. Which way will the judges go, can Rachel's luck last one more time The judges are giving there opinions; Wonder if they'll mirror mine? One vote from Danni for Rikki and Rachel had a vote from Ms Cole But Simon has the casting vote, and it's his show on the whole. He chose to send home Rikki, which was a bit of a surprise to me And Rachel gets to sing another day - so here is to Week three! I was truly so pleased to hear Cheryl expressing her rage At the fact John and Edward get to return to this stage! Perhaps now this Twin fad will finish and officially be over; Vote to get out the twins by the end of October! How the John and Edward got through I will never understand And I dread to think what they will sing next week on Big Band. The competition is judged on talent and they clearly have none; Fingers crossed everybody, that next week they will be gone! As the start credits rolled, I knew I was in for a treat
Listening to these 11 contestants perform for Diva's Week. Week one is over and new songs have been rehearsed; A great start to the show as Lucie Jones was up first. Olly Murs came second and executed what he had planned Then next up the fabulous Miss Frank; My very favourite band. Simon was quite scathing but Cheryl was there to save the day She stood up for these ladies, as Louis Walsh is still away. Rachel Adedeji, was first up after the ads And she belted out Beyonce and gave it everything she had. Next came Joe from the North East, who has to be my favourite boy And his rendition of "Where do broken hearts go?" was one I really did enjoy. Another advert break and then Danyl took the stage; He wanted to show a different side and set his mark upon the page. Simon smiled on proudly and the audience cheered and cheered From a risky Whitney song choice, a true Diva did appear! Yet another ad break, so I slipped off to make some tea To avoid watching the advert with Ant and Dec on the Nintendo Wii. I knew that the next part would see a take on a Leona song; Perhaps another risky song choice where so much could go wrong. A 16 year old boy, Lloyd was determined to give it a go And despite his "bleeding love" his talent had a chance to show. Cheryl was moved to tears as Simon's reaction was not good So she took full responsibility, which as his mentor, of course she should! I didn't know whether to carry on watching as the next act did begin; I wasn't looking forward to a performance from the nation's favourite twins. "Ooops I did it again", should be their motto, you must agree; Will the red pvc suits save them and allow them to come back for X Factor Week 3? I was glad for the next adverts so I could regain my composure. What act would be up next for their Week 2 exposure? 8 acts have been on and few moments have been sticky So I was pinning all my hopes on this next performance from Rikki. Aretha Franklin, for Mr Loney was somewhat a brave choice And Simon voiced my opinion, in that it was too big for his voice. Next up came Jamie Afro, our own X Factor rocker; He pulled off Christina's "Hurt", in a new Diva shocker! I can't believe how quickly the programme seems to go And up last but not least, was Stacey, who came to close the show. She didn't sound overly hopeful that the words would be flowing free But she did a great job and her performance was as good as can be. Simon's opinion was met with a round of boos But ultimately it's not up to him, it's up to me and you. To vote to save your favourite act you need to pick up the phone; It's the one thing you can do whilst you are sitting comfortably at home. So with a week that saw Whitney Houston take the time to coach them all, The numbers you need for voting are below, waiting for you to call. It's time for you to start thinking about who your winner might be And more importantly who you would like to see in the X Factor Live Shows Week 3! So after what has been a high drama filled week
It's time for the voting; Public get to speak. Though the word on the streets is "Get rid of the twins" Somehow, the public vote, they managed to win. It was down to the wire for Rachel and Kandy Rain And both of the acts took to the stage again. The judges made their choices and it went to deadlock After John and Edward triumphed with their "getting through shock". So 11 acts remaining and Diva Week awaits I'm already looking forward to it as I'm sure it will be great. I can't until next weekend for the X Factor Live shows again And I would like to send my commiserations to the lovely Kandy Rain. Copyright Amy - I Want A Poem http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk |
