This has to be one of my most asked questions. So I thought I would put together a little bit of information myself on what I need from a customer to create a poem.
First things first; The occasion you need a poem for, the recipient and also who the poem is to be from.
Then after that, anything goes. What I would say however, is not to include any information that you WOULD NOT want to include in the poem. Even little details - if you have told me about it, I presume you want it included!
Good things to include are special memories, times, places etc.
Remember....................the more information I have, the more personal your poem will be!
Recent commissions include a Fairytale Wedding Poem, Happy 80th Birthday Mother Poem, Retro Wedding Reception Poem, Brother's 30th Birthday Poem and Best Wishes for a Special Couple getting married.
If you have any specific style or theme you would like me to incorporate, please don't hesitate to ask. I'll do my very best to ensure it's perfect for your special moment!

I was very excited to see my website mentioned in Wedding Ideas magazine when I was in WH Smith the other day. Page 112 to be precise, the August Issue. There is an image and a link to my website, on the subject of personalised poems to remember loved ones. One of my friends has her picture in there(the magazine) too. All seems very surreal but I do feel that I have worked extremely hard this year on my business and it is such a satisfying feeling. Seeing it mentioned in print validates it even more somehow.
I have got some new ideas in the pipeline and some changes to the way my system works, but for now, I am very happy with the way things are going. http://www.iwantapoem.com is now live and redirecting my customers to the .co.uk address. Thanks once again to my wonderful customers. It's been a pleasure to work with each and every one of you. Incidentally, I had an email from one particularly lovely customer who just wanted me know how her poem had been received. I was very touched that she had taken the time to write to me and also that her recipient had been overwhelmed. Apparently, the poem was somewhat of a talking point and I feel honoured to have played a part in touching someone's life on such a special day. |
