X Factor Week 8 Live Show Poem Elton John/Take That WeekIt's the 28th of November and I started to watch the X Factor late As I'd been out doing my shopping, instead sitting at home for week 8. Luckily, it is the week, that the show goes on and on; I tuned in just as all five contestants has finished singing their first songs. The details of the contestants song choices can now be found below And so, without any further ado, let's get back to the show. Lloyd was the first to sing his second piece; "I'm still standing" by Elton John Followed swiftly by Danyl's rendition of the classic anthem, "Your Song". At this point I should mention, and I have tried to resist, We're lacking a little something; John and Edward are sadly missed! I never thought I'd say that, but the time has actually come; Own up, who elses agrees that the X Factor is lacking a little fun? Anyway, the ad breaks are over, and back to the stage for our delight Is the cheeky little Olly Murs with "Saturday Night's Alright". Simon was very complimentary and the audience were chanting his name. He really did come out fighting and he'll definitely survive to sing again! Next Joe McElderry performed for us, a song that we have already heard. He sang it at Cheryl's judges' home; Elton's "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word". Louis said that he was born for this and in a rare moment all the judges came together; They all agreed it was sensational and Simon said that it was his best song EVER! The pride of Dagenham got to close the show with the stage lights burning bright, She started sat on a Baby Grand, singing "Something About The Way You Look Tonight." Simon was worried that all her songs sound the same and I wasn't overly impressed So, we'll see if she makes it through tonight, as she is the only girl left. But I love it when Dermot interviews her, as she sounds so dippy and sweet And with that, the phone lines open for us to vote for our favourite this week. Please feel free to comment, perhaps with who you think will have to go And for now I'll say adieu to you, and see you again on Sunday for the results show. Wedding Card Poems by I Want A Poem
Are you looking for a poem to go inside a Wedding Card? Have you been searching for the exact message you want to send and not finding anything that covers all you want to say? Do you need a Wedding Poem for a friend or family member? Then look no further. Simply visit http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk and give a few details about your intended recipient(s) and Amy will write you a beautiful personalised wedding card poem. This can be a wedding card for a Bride or Groom, to the Bride and Groom, for the Mother of the Bride/Groom, for the Father of The Groom/Bride or for any other member of the Bridal Party; Bridesmaids, Ushers etc. A Wedding Card Poem is the perfect choice where only the best words will do! You can decide the tone of your wedding poem. Maybe you are a Best Man, and you want to give the newlyweds a nice message but still want to put accross your cheeky persona; after all, that's why they love you, and that's why they asked you to do them the honour of being Best Man. A humourous or funny wedding poem will let you do both. Or perhaps you are going to the Wedding of one of your friends. As it is customary these days to request money as a gift, the giver can sometimes feel like they still want to give something a little more personal. A personalised wedding poem written beautifully in a card, along with the money gift, will let the Bride and Groom know that have still put some thought into their Wedding Gift, whilst still fulfilling the origianl brief. Or maybe you are the Groom and you would like to surprise your Wife to be with a sentimental wedding poem on the morning of your wedding. You might not have seen your Bride since the day before, and you could perhaps arrange for one of the Bridesmaids or the Bride's Mother or Father to give her the card before she sets off to meet you at the wedding venue. It's the little touches that mean the most. Whatever you want from your wedding poem, Amy from I Want A Poem will work hard to ensure that your personalised creation conveys the message you want! The Owl And The Pussycat
The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea In a beautiful pea green boat, They took some honey, and plenty of money, Wrapped up in a five pound note. The Owl looked up to the stars above, And sang to a small guitar, 'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love, What a beautiful Pussy you are, You are, You are! What a beautiful Pussy you are!' Pussy said to the Owl, 'You elegant fowl! 'Dear pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling The Owl and The Pussycat was written by Edward Lear. It is a traditional poem that most of us grew up with! It also makes a beautiful Wedding Reading or Naming Ceremony Poem. Tuesday, November 24

With a credit crunch in full force, there has never been a better time to decide that the Also, because people are living together before they get married, a lot of the household gifts you would traditionally buy for a Wedding will have been bought long ago. And who want four toasters? So although it was frowned upon many years ago, nowadays, Brides and Grooms are asking for cash gifts. This can be used in many more useful ways which you can of course include in your Wedding Gift Poem. Say for example, you really needed a new bathroom installing; Ask for money to put towards it. Guests truly would rather their gift was appreciated! And this way, everyone is happy. So if you are struggling to compose your own Sunday, November 22

Sunday Night means a new X Factor Results show
With performances from Mariah and the world class SuBo. I really can't call who'll be going tonight But perhaps at last the public might get it right. Who will now fade into oblivion and who will we remember As we find out the X Factor Results on the 22nd of November. Stacey is the first act to go through to next week Followed by Joe, our tasty North-Eastern treat. The third act returning, is Danyl the Diva Followed by Lloyd! So will Olly or Jedward be the leaver? Could this be the moment that the X Factor is waiting for? Is it time for the Grimes Twins to head out of the door? John and Edward took the first "singing for survival" spot And perhaps aptly sang lyrics saying "I can't be what I'm not". They looked rather dejected; Perhaps they sense it's their time. But who's to say other peoples opinions mirror those of mine. Olly took to the stage, with a beautiful sounding track Before, over to the judges, we are swiftly handed back. Simon and Cheryl voted to saved Olly Louis voted Jedward, and he wasn't sorry. Danni asked the audience before she made her choice She asked if it was a singing competition, to be judged on voice. At last John and Edward are out of the show And onto the talent competition the last 5 acts can go! It's been a blast for them, and I'm sure a career begins As a televisual presence beckons for the country's most well known Twins. So our thoughts should be with Jedward as the two of them commiserate And with Louis out of the X Factor, it's onwards to week 8! Another Sunday Evening, who will sing for the right to survive;
The one remaining girl or group, or one of Simon's over 25's? Perhaps one of the boys from Cheryl Cole's team? For one of the acts, here end the X Factor Dream. All of the contestants showed us how good as a group they can be Giving us a great rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Then a performance from Shakira and the X Factor Charity Song too And finally we get to find out, who'd in the bottom two. Delicious Dermot then announces the acts who go through; Joe McElderry followed by Danyl, and then Stacey!(oh phew) The fourth act to be chosen was Olly and he had much glee And the final act returning are the Twins and Louis. That leaves Lloyd and Jamie to sing for the crowd. They both want to go through, but only one is allowed. At this point, I can't call who will be leaving the X Factor tonight; I won't even bother guessing, as I never get it right! So the act that managed, the chop, to avoid Rather surprisingly was lovely little Lloyd. So on towards next weeks X Factor Live Show And sadly we say goodbye to Jamie the Afro. X Factor Live Shows WEEK 6 - Phone Numbers At The Bottom Of This Page
The next stop on this journey towards the X Factor Dream Is a fab Saturday Night programme, dedicated to Queen. Just seven acts remaining and there's everything to win And so, without any further ado, let the show begin! Before we get down to the talent, we have something of shock As Simon Cowell delicately explains, why last week he went to deadlock. He said that he trusted the public and he knew we would make the right call Ultimately, he talked his way out of it and ultimately, he can't please us all. First on the stage is Jamie Archer, with Radio GaGa as his song; A fabulous Queen rock anthem, but Louis said that it was all wrong. Cheryl commented on his Afro but said he kicked the show off well; Will he sail through again this week? Only time will tell. Next a Little Thing Called Love, or should that be a boy called Lloyd His cuteness and his cheeky charm are things you can't avoid. The audience were screaming and he seemed to have a blast; Lloyd Daniels from Team Cheryl has come into his own at last. Olly Murs then told us all not to stop him now. He is the best performer and that really was a WOW! He was likened to Robbie Williams after he well executed his plans Even managing to entertain us all with a bit of a dodgy hand! Back to Team Cheryl as we get on with the show Somebody To Love is performed for us, by the lovely little Joe. Cheryl said of his vocal rollercoaster, that he sang it to a T; Simon said he'd be safe this week and I think that I'd agree. After the deadlock last week, this act caused a lot rage They showed they were Under Pressure as Jedward fell onto stage. It was fairly entertaining, I think you will agree....well maybe But only because they mixed it up with a hint of Ice Ice Baby! Stacey Solomon then performed, singing Who Wants To Live Forever; Far removed from her ditzy self, she really held it together. Each note that emerged from inside her was crisp and clear and bright And Simon Cowell even said it was the best performance of the night. We Are The Champions is the last song of the show With the fabulous Danyl Johnson getting into the Queen Week flow. Danni Minogue said that this had been his best performance yet And even Louis and Simon gave him the nicest feedback he could get. So which acts should stay and which acts should now end Get on the phones, as on your votes, the results depends. Who do you want to see return to the X Factor Stage? The phone numbers needed for voting are at the bottom of this page. Copyright © Amy - I Want A Poem http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk Personalised Poems for All Occasions! A birthday poem is a unique way of sending birthday wishes and messages to your loved ones. Most greetings cards these days include a short rhyme or verse, which is great, but you can spend ages finding a card that gives an appropriate message. So to solve this problem, why not go one step further and give your friends and family a personalised poem instead. You can either print it out or write it into a blank card; Sometimes the personal touch is the best way to go.
Alternatively, you can use a birthday poem as a chance to tell your recipient's life story. This works particularly well for "milestone birthdays":18th Birthday, 21st Birthday, 30th Birthday, 40th Birthday, 50th Birthday, 60th birthday, 70th Birthday, 80th Birthday, 90th Birthday and the Big 100th Birthday! Your birthday poem can be witty, cheeky, loving or humourous and you can also weave in any other message. If you are looking are for that perfect birthday poem, why not have your very own personalised poem written by Amy at http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk and give the special people in your life a unique and personal gift to cherish for a lifetime.

Two minutes of silence
Amidst a sea of red. We proudly wear our poppies As we remember the dead. The soldiers who fought for us So that we could be free. And the civilians who lost their lives; Caught up in the hostility. The cessation of those war torn times Is an event we should always remember And so the world unites as one On the 11th Day of November. For the honour of our Armed Forces And the terrible situations they face Each time we think of our Heroes It should be with a smile on our face. You were my very first Twitter friend,
Dearest DisneyBrideChar And whilst you planned your wedding I twittered from afar. Time has passed so quickly And now you have said "I do" It's been an honour and a privilege To share this time with you. A Beautiful Cinderella Coach Took you to meet your Groom. I can't believe that you're married already As it seems to have come round so soon. You then got married al fresco Surrounded by beautiful roses And it made for gorgeous pictures Of you in your Bridal poses. And that is not forgetting One more truly beautiful thing When the Royal Footman Ringbearer Brought you a glass slipper containing your ring. A truly magical occasion For a fabulous Disney Bride And I'm sure all your friends and family Were looking on with pride. Exciting times ahead for you After the happiest day of your life. I hope that your brand new Husband Will make you the happiest Wife! So for being a lovely twitterer I'd like to say thanks a lot And may I say Congratulations Now that you have tied the knot. Finally let me wish you all the best For a life filled with love and laughter. Big Congratulations once again And here's to your Happy Ever After! This is a poem that I wrote, inspired by just the three words 'my favourite meal'. As any new Mum will testify, after the fabulous meeting of your baby for the first time, you really do need something to eat and drink. I am lucky enough to have four beautiful daughters and after all that effort each time, even simple tea and toast tastes amazing. So without further ado, please find below "My Favourite Meal"!
My Favourite Meal A round swollen tummy. An urge from within. They said that I would know It was about to begin. It gripped me so tightly. Pinned me down to the bed. It felt so destructive. I wished I was dead. I howled, then I whimpered. Sweat moistened my face. Oh, how I wished I was In some other place. The pain came again And I called the midwife. She soon would be with me As I gave someone life. A final contraction. My baby appeared. The pain that I suffered. Completely disappeared. I felt so elated It was finally complete. Now all that I needed Was something to eat. As I stared at my bundle, (To whom I'd played host) The kind Midwife brought me Some tea and some toast. Heaven mouthfuls; The buttery crunch Made up for the fact That I'd laboured through lunch. I'd delivered at tea time But missed out on my dinner. Hot tea and buttered toast though Was definitely a winner. The simplest of foodstuffs Tasted out of this world. I sighed with contentment Looking at my baby girl. So, when I eat toast now It evokes memories so real And that is why it was My Favourite Meal. Copyright © Amy - I Want A Poem http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk Personalised Poems for All Occasions!

W. H. Auden - Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephoneStop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, Silence the pianos and with muffled drum Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come. Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead, Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves, Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves. He was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest, My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now: put out every one; Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun; Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood. For nothing now can ever come to any good. Stop All The Clocks is one of my very favourite poems and it was featured in the Best Selling Film "Four Weddings And A Funeral". Sunday, November 8

It's Sunday Night, the votes have been cast;
Who's performance could have been their last? None of the finalists want to be in the bottom two And they relied totally on votes from me and you. Katy Perry was the inspiration for the opening group song And everyone looked at home on the stage, just like they belong. So on the night we get a performance from our own home grown star Which act will have made it so near, yet so far? First up this Sunday, was an act that was pleasing to me Preceding Leona Lewis, was the fabulous B.E.P. Flying high on wires, yet performing with such ease Well done to Will I.am and his crew of Black Eyed Peas. So onto Leona Lewis, a true star without a doubt And it's great to have her back on the stage where she started out. She is an inspiration and shows us what real talent means; Her new song is titled 'Happy' and it personifies so many dreams. Now for the moment that we have all been waiting for. Who's X Factor journey, will carry on no more? The acts acts going through will be glad to have been saved And the first of those way Joe; To him and Cheryl, well played! The second act returning is Olly for our Mr Smooth, Simon Followed very closely by the delightful Stacey Solomon. Lloyd also went through, much to Cheryl's delight And the 5th act through was Danyl, truly making his night. Only one more spot was guaranteed and that then went to Jamie. That means Jedward's in the bottom two, do my eyes betray me? It was the one week I relented and they finally entertained. So will it be them or Lucie, who, in the contest, remain? The glamourous Danni Minogue hoped that Lucie would shine As she returned to the X Factor stage to give us her 'moment in time'. Louis said Jedward should try and have fun as they gave us Rock DJ; I wonder if Robbie Williams was singing along or cringing in LA? Louis,Dannii and Cheryl made their choice then the real voting could begin But Simon said he's let the public decide as neither of the acts could win. Sadly Lucie lost out, and John and Edward will sing again; I can't believe this is happening. Each week it seems to be the same. So congrats to the twins, though in my throat it sticks And so I'll look forward instead to week 6. It's a bit of a shocker, though I said weeks ago That the twins could end up winning! You just never know! Copyright © Amy - I Want A Poem http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk Personalised Poems for All Occasions! Saturday, November 7

Tonight's X Factor promises to be a little groovy
As all of the contestants sing songs from the Movies. It's a live show from London, for your pleasure and delight; Let's get ready to watch The X Factor Movie Night! Stacey Solomon was the first to step into the breach And in skintight black leggings she showed us how to preach. The Son of A Preacher Man went down like a treat Though Mr Simon Cowell said she might not be safe this week. He can afford to be smug as none of his acts have gone out! Olly Murs is his first act this week, singing Twist and Shout. The audience loved it and were screaming his name So I definitely think, he will survive to sing again! Next, following a week where he ended up in the bottom two Lloyd Daniels performed 'Stand by Me' hoping that he would get through. But Louis Walsh said that he was out of his depth And Simon agreed. Has he got any hope left? Next up Jamie Archer, but his song was little obscure It was Crying by Roy Orbison, but from which movie, I'm not sure. Simon defended his song choice and Cheryl said he had done well; Was it enough to see him through? Only time will tell. Lucie Jones was next to perform and what treat to see She took a track from Camp Rock and showed us "This is Me". Cheryl Cole then commented that Lucie had found her niche at last! Simon said she was a relevant act! Her dreams have been surpassed! Simon chose the next track and Danyl took the stage again To gave us a beautiful performance of Prince's Purple Rain. Great comments from all the judges after a vocal that was divine And I think that is was so good that he's surely safe this time. Next up John and Edward and this week they've had twin mania And in the words of Peter Andre, it is just a little bit insania! So back to the performance, and they gave us the Ghostbusters theme. I think I must be softening as it was the funniest thing I have seen! It's sad another week is almost over, and here to close the show Was a great performance of The Circle of Light by the cheeky Geordie Joe. The audience were rapturous and Dannii said he was simply the best. I think that this handsome young man, could be headed for success. So from our fabulous final 8, one act will have to go And so, miss out performing on the X Factor Week 6 Show. The numbers you need to vote are listed at the end of my rhyme Thanks so much for reading and I hope to "see" you next time! Lots of love to you from all at Giraffe Towers;
We're sending well wishes with our magical powers. We're hoping that the doctors will know what to do And that they will at last, find out what's wrong with you. Whilst you've been in hospital you've been on our minds And you have our support at this difficult time. With your fighting spirit, we know you'll pull through And you have a fabulous team all rooting for you. You need a diagnosis before you can move on And you're in the best place, so we're sure it won't be long. Now we hope you'll get better as quickly as you can.
