Hen Party Poems
by
Amy
on Sun 02 May 2010 14:25 BST
Hen Party Poems Do you want a personalised Hen Party Poem as a special keepsake for this memorable event. Hen Party's are big business these days and the lucky Bride to be can expect to have a fabulous meal, or a luxury spa day, pole dancing lessons and even weekends away in sunnier places. The truth of the matter, is that Hen Parties are now a major event. At an event, it is not unusual to open them with a speech or a statement. iwantapoem.co.uk now has a alternative option for your Hen Party; Give the soon to be wed something she can keep long after the hangover has worn off. A personalised poem could be a great option for you. Your Hen Party Poem could include any humorous points about the Bride to be and her hens or tales of their friendship in general, specifics about the Hen Party itself, details of the lucky Groom to be as well and any other message that you would like to include. Of course you may want to go down a completely different route with your poem and tell the story of the Bride to be's life up to this point or even something else entirely; but iwantapoem.co.uk gives you the ability to be able to do so as each poem is written especially for you, using only your details. If you want your Hen Party poem to be funny or sentimental, then that too is up to you. Simply compile your information, visit iwantapoem.co.uk and enter your details and then sit back and wait for your poem to arrive; ordering your personalised hen party poem could not be simpler. So, if you would like to commission your hen party poem, please visit I Want A Poem and complete the simple order form to order your personalised poem today!

Eastenders Danny's Poem
by
Amy
on Fri 09 Apr 2010 20:26 BST
Eastenders Danny's PoemThis is the poem that Danny in Eastenders pretended to have written so that he did not have to show Roxy he had, in fact, been writing down the security numbers for her safe: Once I was lost Now I'm found I'm not just another face in the crowd. Now I have a family of my very own. A place I call love; A place I call home.
Now although this technically wasn't written with loving feelings in mind, it does show what well placed words, verses and poems can do. Roxy instantly told Danny he was sweet and gave him a family heirloom for his troubles. Poetry is springing up in all forms of media; from soaps and films to adverts on the television and even on product packaging. If you liked the sentiment of Danny from Eastenders poem and you would like to have a special, personalised poem written for a family member of yours, then please visit iwantapoem.co.uk - personalised poems for all occasions.

Recent Poetry Commissions at I Want A Poem
by
Amy
on Sat 30 Jan 2010 10:34 GMT
Recent CommissionsIt's been a great start to the year here at I Want A Poem. When I started back in 2007, I had no idea at all if this would work. But thanks to some very good friends who gave me the confidence to get out there, here I am. So I would first of all like to take the opportunity to say thank you to my wonderful clients. It has been a privilege to work with each and every one.I have been lucky enough to work on a really diverse set of poems already this year; from a marriage proposal to an apology and a poem about baby cousins to go inside a scrapbook to an 'in memoriam' ode, for a funeral. One of the poems I most enjoyed working on, was an Alice in Wonderland Style story that a gentleman commissioned for his girlfriend, as a romantic gift.Another two touching poems were for Weddings. I was asked to write a poem for a Bride from her late Grandmother and another was again to a Bride, but from her youngest sister. I think it is little touches like this that the Bride will hopefully look back on and be moved, even years after she has tied the knot.Christmas was also a popular time for getting engaged so many eager Brides to Be are already scouting out personalised wedding readings and thinking about how they can thank their loved ones for being a part of their big day.Weddings are particuarly sentimental times anyway, but having some extra special words can truly add the edge.I always knew that there had to be a poem for every occasion and it seems I was right. There are so many reasons to buy a poem. I wonder if you have an idea for poem? What do you like to hear or read?Poems in 2010I am looking forward to the challenges that the rest of the year will bring; you just never know what you'll be asked to write about next! Sometimes, it's nice to write poetry about matters really close to your heart, drawing on your own personal emotions but equally, it can be liberating to let your imagination run wild.A poem can grow from the tiniest seed into something beautiful and unique. If you would like to commission a poem, perhaps for a wedding or any other occasion then please do visit http://www.iwantapoem.co.uk and fill the form, and I will be happy to help.

A Special Gift
by
Amy
on Mon 04 Jan 2010 09:00 GMT
Most people have a
favourite poem. I know, I myself, have several. Poems can evoke so many different memories that I even have a favourite poem for each occasion; each one means something to me. But sometimes I want something even closer to my chosen moment or occasion. And for those moments, only a truly personalised poem will do.
I write personalised poetry for weddings, anniversarys, birthdays, funerals, retirements, births, engagements and all other special occasions; the full spectrum of life. In fact it doesn't even have to be a special occasion. Sometimes only words will do.
A personalised poem makes a great special gift.
Want A Poem?
Any special or memorable occasion
Will benefit from beautifully placed words.
But how do you go about finding the right message?
What's a fun way to make yourself heard?
Express yourself with a little poetic magic
And pen your loved ones a verse or a rhyme.
They will be so very touched by the effort
And the sentiment conveyed in each line.
For Congratulations, New babies or Retirement
Or for the birthday of your precious little one.
For Weddings, Anniversaries and for Christmas;
The list of reasons for a poem, goes on and on.
Your personalised poem will be cherished.
It's a fabulous and unique, special gift.
If you need help to write one, go to Google
And type in "I Want A Poem" as your wish.
It will helpfully direct you to a website
That helps you say all that you want to say.
So, if you are looking for a personalised poem
Then please visit iwantapoem.co.uk

My School Book Club
by
Amy
on Sun 03 Jan 2010 09:00 GMT
My School Book ClubRun by the same people who first brought you Red House Books, My School Book Club is a fabulous way to buy books for your little ones and also to benefit your child's school at the same time. 20% of each books value goes to your child's school so that they can then buy more brilliant, great quality books.
All of us at one time or another have had an experience with school books fairs. Either remembering them with pleasure from your own childhood, or less pleasurably going to one over the years since you became a parent. Now I don't know about you, but a crowded school hall, at 3.30pm when you need to be in a million other places, is not my idea for a fun and relaxed buying experience. Well My School Book Club lets you do the whole thing online, in the comfort of your own living room, at your own time. And there is no pressure of having to turn up on the specific day in the 10 minute slot that 300 other parents eagerly turn up for. All year long, whatever you buy, the 20% is given to your child's school. You get to make your selection from a vast choice of quality books at fabulous prices. Win Win as far as I can see. So if your child's school is not yet signed up to My School Book Club, I would highly recommend you suggest it to them!

Valentine's Day Poems
by
Amy
on Mon 28 Dec 2009 17:14 GMT
Valentine's Day PoemsValentine's Day, celebrated on the 14th of February each year, is traditionally the day that you will secretly share your loving feelings for A.N.Other. This could be done, simply by sending a card, signed with a question mark to add to the air of mystery; then it would be up to the recipient to try and guess. But why not give them a little more than a question mark to go on? You could write your own love poem with clues to your identity, or even listing the reasons why you love them. It makes a great gift for a lady or a gentleman. Of course you may not want to be anonymous and your poem for Valentine's Day could be a chance just to tell your love story, or to recall shared cherished memories or even hopes for the future of your relationship. If you don't feel confident enough to write your own, then simply enlist the help of Amy at I Want A Poem and commission your very own personalised Valentine's Day Poem. Your poem will be with you within 5 days in most cases, though at peak times such as Valentine's Day, you may want to allow a little more time. Why not order your personalised poem for your Valentine, today? You simpley need to provide the details that you want to include; any message can be included. http://www.iwantapoem.co.ukSo whatever you are planning for Valentine's Day, do it with love!

Flutterfly Events
by
Amy
on Tue 01 Dec 2009 17:46 GMT
You know when you have something on the tip of your tongue And it slips out of your mouth, before you know what you've done What a faux pas with the tweet that I sent, As I shared my simplicity with FlutterFly Events. I thought that you must have failed to see your name upon the cover So I tweeted, not realising my mistake; That it was A. N. Other. It's my own fault for not checking on what I had seen And I just saw the word Flutter on the front of a magazine I was ever so excited that I twittered with one of the names And I think that we can safely say, it's a mistake I won't make again. I won't forget your business name, even if I try After all, you can't get better than the original Flutterfly! So instead I feel it's time for a little poetic plug For a company who creates innovative occasions filled with love. If you need help to plan your wedding, your money will be well spent By having a consultation with the Fabulous Flutterfly Events!

Please Mrs Butler - Allan Ahlberg
by
Amy
on Tue 01 Dec 2009 11:00 GMT
Please Mrs. Butler
Please Mrs Butler This boy Derek Drew Keeps copying my work, Miss. What shall I do?
Go and sit in the hall, dear. Go and sit in the sink. Take your books on the roof, my lamb. Do whatever you think.
Please Mrs Butler This boy Derek Drew Keeps taking my rubber, Miss. What shall I do?
Keep it in you hand, dear. Hide it up your vest. Swallow it if you like, love. Do what you think best.
Please Mrs Butler This boy Derek Drew Keeps calling me rude names, Miss. What shall I do?
Lock yourself in the cupboard, dear. Run away to sea. Do whatever you can, my flower. But don't ask me!
